Church History
During the 1860's, a shelter was built by O.M. Wood and others, near where the present church now stands, for the worship of our Lord. Later on , a small log house was built. In the 1870's, a church was organized. It was one of the eight charter members of the Beech River Baptist Association. The other members were Chapel Hill, Ridge Grove, Fellowship, Jacks Creek, Piney Creek, Mt. Ararat, and Bible Hill.
